Kirby Rig for Maya

Hi!

Enjoy this free student rig of Kirby made in Maya 2022.

This rig is made by a novice rigger and may not be perfect. It is free to use for non commercial work. All rights belong to Nintendo, this is for educational and fan art use only. Not to be used in anything inappropriate, pornographic, or vulgar.

I figured this would be a good rig to learn fundamentals of animation on since it is a simple sphere.

Notes:

• The mouth and body blendshapes are in the channel box of the mouth nurb control.
• There are simple rigs for a hat, a sword, and a star in the display layers. They are turned off by default, but can be turned on by simply clicking the visibility icon.
• If Kirby looks grey when referencing into your scene, make sure the view with textures button is turned on in the viewport.
• Most of the controls can be scaled how you wish.
• The eye controls are intended to be rotated, but can be translated and scaled as well if you want to experiment.
• The eye blinks and expressions are in the eye control channel box.
